Mr. Van Tassel has more than 25 years of broad experiences in aircraft aerodynamic design, flight testing and wind tunnel testing.  This experience was gained while working at Bombardier Aerospace, Sikorsky/Lockheed Martin, Swift Engineering, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Adam Aircraft, etc.  It spans commercial, business and military aviation.  Specifically, he has experience in Aircraft Aerodynamics, Aero-Performance and S&C engineering for eight employers on aircraft including fixed-wing Very Light Jets, General Aviation/LSA, large scale USAF UAVs and Small Scale Commercial Electric UAVs (sUAV). Aerodynamics work in all phases of aircraft development from clean-sheet conceptual, preliminary and detail design through flight test. Sizing and design for aero/S&C in conceptual design, aero/S&C analysis in preliminary and detail design, and aero/S&C test planning, data analysis and report writing for flight test. Successful completion of FAA FAR Part 23 type certification programs with significant FAA and DER coordination and multiple FAA approved documents. Aerodynamics and S&C test experience on USAF UAVs with USAF approved test documentation. Regarded by former employers, FAA, DERs and USAF for being an outstanding technical document writer. Innovator of document formats, procedures and systems to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of design, analysis and test. Design, analysis and test experience enhanced with hands-on and pilot skills
