Daniel de Vries
Mr. de Vries is an aerospace engineer and a programmer. He is an expert in Multi-Disciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization (MDAO), applied computational fluid dynamics and open-source software development. He has extensive experience working with Python and MATLAB for conducting research and developing analysis and optimization frameworks. For his master’s thesis, Mr. de Vries developed the Open-source Link between AGILE and OpenMDAO (OpenLEGO) framework, aiming to make MDAO more readily applicable in the industry. He has also worked on the design and analysis of advanced high‑lift systems.
