Advanced Aircraft Analysis (AAA) 3.12
DARcorporation is pleased to announce that Advanced Aircraft Analysis Version 3.12 has been released!
If you are a current AAA maintenance customer you can upgrade your current version of AAA (3.1 or greater) by using the instructions below.
- Start AAA.
- Go to the Help menu on the top menu bar and select "Check for Updates".
- If you are eligible to receive an upgrade to 3.12, a web page will load and indicate that you can download an upgrade.
- Click the link provided to download the upgrade. Depending on your browser configuration, the download will either begin automatically or you will be prompted to save or open the file. The filename should be "aaa_update_312.exe" and its size should be 34,238KB.
- If your browser downloads automatically, run the downloaded file when the download is complete. If you are prompted to save or open the file, save the file to a convenient temporary location (for instance the Desktop) and then run it when the download is complete.
Major enhancements for AAA 3.12:
- Help system has been expanded.
- Detailed warning messages describing user/program errors are included.
- Installation methods are simplified.
- Aerodynamics Module now includes:
- Power effects calculations for canard configurations.
- Drooped aileron pitching moment calculations.
- The Geometry module now includes:
- Scaling of bodies of revolution like nacelles, tailbooms, stores and floats.
- Calculation of fuselage curves irrespective of the coordinate system chosen.
- AeroPack export of elevator geometry.
- Appropriate fuel center of gravity calculations.
- The Stability & Control module includes:
- Rolling moment due to roll rate calculations for a twin vertical tail configuration.
- Take-off rotation for flying wing configurations.
- Node locked WIBU-BOX error for Boxes with serial numbers starting with 11- is resolved.
- Calculation speed improvements.
