DARcorporation (Design Analysis and Research Corporation) was founded in 1991, by Drs. Jan Roskam and Willem Anemaat. Today we are a world-class aeronautical engineering company, specializing in aircraft design and analysis consulting services, software development, wind tunnel and water tunnel testing and wind energy.
Our primary objective has never changed through the years: We want to help you design and build safe and predictable airplanes.
Business Activities
- Consulting Services: We can design, analyze, test and build anything that moves through the air, including power generating windmill blades, flying cars and flying toys. We can design to LSA, U.S. Experimental Category, U.S. FAR 23, FAR 25, U.S. MIL SPEC requirements. Our projects include single and multi-engine propeller and jet powered aircraft; Business Jets, Very Light Jets (VLJ); Kit, LSA and Experimental Category aircraft; VTOL combat force insertion vehicles; VTOL aircraft; UAV's for civil and military applications and hybrid air/ground vehicles.
- Wind Tunnel & Water Tunnel Testing: Our technical team of highly skilled and qualified aeronautical engineers and production personnel are capable of testing and analyzing models in subsonic and transonic flow regimes. We can conduct flow visualization tests on existing models and provide qualitative assessments. We also analyze stability & control and drag data derived from wind tunnel tests.
- Wind Energy: DARcorporation has vast experience designing and testing a variety of wind energy devices and windmills. We use a state of the art test stand specifically designed and tailored for wind tunnel testing of windmill blades. It is fully integrated with data acquisition systems with real time visual feedback. It is capable of measurements in all six degrees of freedom.
- Software Development: We are the sole developer of Advanced Aircraft Analysis (AAA), the industry standard preliminary aircraft design, stability and control analysis software. AAA is used in major aeronautical universities, aircraft manufacturers and military organizations in over 45 countries. Other DAR software includes AeroPack which is an aeronautical engineering specific software add-on to the computer aided drafting software Shark-AP and Shark FX.
- Book Publication: We proud to publish the Dr. Jan Roskam textbooks: Airplane Design I-VIII, Aircraft Flight Dynamics & Automatic Flight Controls, Roskam's War Stories, Lessons Learned, and Aerodynamics and Performance, by Dr. J. Roskam and Dr. C.T. Lan.
- Aeronautical Engineering Software and Books Distribution: We are the exclusive worldwide distributor of the Aircraft Performance Program, and the U.S. distributor of the J2 Universal Tool-Kit packages and a huge selection of Aeronautical Engineering Books from a world-wide base of aerospace authors, educators and publishers, at our Online Store.
Corporate Structure
President: Dr. Willem A.J. Anemaat served as Chief Engineer and Vice President since DAR's incorporation in 1991. In 2004, Willem was promoted to President of DARcorporation. Willem guides our qualified staff of aeronautical engineers and network of professional consultants to perform aircraft design, stability and control analysis, loads analysis, vehicle testing, wind tunnel and water tunnel program, and flight testing. Willem is also the major contributor to the ongoing evolution of Advanced Aircraft Analysis.
Vice President: MaryJo Anemaat, Marketing and Sales, gives our customers immediate assistance and personal attention. Her job is to make sure each client is completely satisfied with our products and services.
